Behind the Screen

My name is Haley, the mind behind Insight. I am a 17 year old from California who loves Journalism. 

 

Creative expression is something that I have always been passionate about. For as long as I can remember, I've had a love of reading; Books like Bridge To Terabithia and Anne of Green Gables really sparked this love. I used it as an escape from my everyday life, and as a way of exploring fantastic worlds and new ideas. Since then, my collection of books has grown to more than I would have ever imagined.

This first love sparked my second, which was writing. I love to write and communicate with others. Journaling is now a big hobby of mine, and the freedom I have found from writing my unfiltered thoughts has been extremely rewarding. 

 

A long term goal of mine is to major in Journalism in college, and eventually write for a major news publication. This is one of the biggest reasons why I created this blog. I was not given the opportunity to write for my schools newspaper, so I decided to create a place to write and grow for myself. With this site, I have been able to experience creating articles and other creative pieces for people to enjoy. Writing makes me so fulfilled!
